La Digue – the first paradise

0 4 Comments

La Digue is definitely the closest to a paradise of what we have seen so far. Every beach (“Anse”) on this little island has its very own enchantment. White sand, impressive boulders and crystal deep blue water…

We spent the four nights in Tanette’s Villa, a lovely guesthouse with nice, cosy rooms, very friendly staff and a delicious, rich breakfast which is included in the stay.

All people mostly move by bike on la Digue and so did we. You can reach many of the beautiful beaches and spots directly by bike, although there are some that require a bit of hiking to get there.

During our 5 days here we explored almost the whole island: from Anse Fourmis in the West to Grand Anse, Petite Anse and Anse Coco in the East, up to the Bellevue summit and through the L’Union Estate park to the famous Anse Source d‘Argent. Ranked as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, our expectations were very high and definitely fulfilled! Anse Source d‘Argent is absolutely worth a visit and even more if you get up early to enjoy this wonderful piece of earth alone!

    really a paradise.

Man fix the Gallery, each time I enlarge a photo I cannot close it and cannot switch to other pics unless I go to the back page and reopen the page again, sounds like a scala problem you inherited here 😉

Just kidding, this gallery we got doesn’t seem to mobile/tablet friendly but the issue does not occur with PC.

We will try to download a new one for the next post 😉
